Veterans Plaza Events

Every Memorial Day weekend, the Plaza hosts its largest event of the year, bringing in thousands of people from all over Northern Colorado. This event is free to the public and lasts all Memorial Day Weekend. However, the main ceremony takes place on May 25th at 12-Noon. Don't miss it!

• Missing Man Table and Honors Ceremony
• Military Flyovers
• A Battlefield Soil Ceremony
• Military Equipment & Vehicle Displays
• And Booths from over 20 Local Vetearn-serving organizations

On Flag Day, the Plaza will host the display of 30+ historic American flags, each flag different in design and forever bound to an important time in U.S. history. Come see how the American Flag you have come to know has evolved over the years. Alongside each flag is a small panel with more information about that flag, allowing guests to better understand its purpose in the time it flew. This display is an amazing learning opportunity and a fantastic way to celebrate our nation's flag!

 The display will be up at Veterans Plaza from 9AM to  5PM on Flag Day,  June 14, 2025. 

Every year the Veterans Plaza "All-Veterans Gala" is an extravagant and engaging affair, with both silent and vocal auctions, fantastic music, food, dancing, and always an amazing keynote speaker. The Gala in 2025 will be held at CSU's Canvas Stadium in a beautiful grand ballroom overlooking the snow-covered Rocky Mountains. Join us for a night of fun in your classiest suit (or military gear).

Veterans Plaza's Heros Family Picnic is aimed at bringing the miltiary-conncected community together for a day of fun and celebration. Our amazing partners in the community, Freddy's and Scheels, do what they do best, ensuring everyone has food to eat and games to play at the Plaza. 

This year, we will be hosting a corn hole tournament with prizes given to the winning team. We will have food for ~300 people, so don't delay in making a reservation!

 

The scramble style golf tournament begins at 0730 and will be filled with plenty of fun and excitement including contests for beat the pro, closest to the pin and crazy putting. After the tournament concludes, players are invited for a complimentary awards lunch where you will experience a presentation of our Nations colors, and the National Anthem to honor our service members and can enjoy the awards ceremony, drawing for some amazing items and more.
