Dedicated to all U.S. veterans who have served, are serving, and will serve this great nation

Welcome to

Veterans Plaza

Dedicated in May 2011, and located at 2626 West Horsetooth Road, in the scenic Spring Canyon Community Park in southwest Fort Collins, the Veterans Plaza serves in remembrance of the valor and the sacrifices made by our military veterans, both in times of war and times of peace. The Plaza brings the community together to recognize U.S. military veterans responsible for protecting and ensuring our inalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

The mission of Veterans Plaza of Northern Colorado is to Honor and Support veterans and their families, and to educate others on the experience and history of service in the United States Armed Forces.

The Plaza is an incredible educational tool for children and adults to learn about the military heroes who are part of our nation’s history, and to recognize those who continue to serve and will serve in the future. It is our hope that you will visit and find this Plaza to be a site of reflection, commemoration, and inspiration.

Veterans Plaza is Fundraising for a New Sign!

There are many ways to support!

Why a New Sign?

For too long Veterans Plaza has been known as: ". . . uh, you mean that place by the dog park?" Consider donating toward Veteran Plaza's declaration of identity. The new sign will be both a way for passerby to recognize our serene public plaza, and a beautiful new installation for the landscape.

The new sign will be made of sandstone with the iconic ridgeline of Horsetooth carved into the top. A 3x3 full-color metal logo will be embedded in the front of the stone, and above it a bronze eagle perched on top of Horsetooth's ridge. Attached to the stone sign will be a park bench with the name of Veterans Plaza ornamenting the back.
