Coming Memorial Day Weekend 2025: The Traveling Vietnam Memorial Wall arrives in Veterans Plaza of Northern Colorado.Come pay your respects at the Traveling Vietnam Memorial Wall. Witness the somber sight of the names of the 58,267 servicemembers who gave their lives between 1957 and 1975, each listed on the wall in chronological order. The wall will be available for viewing Thursday, May 22 until Monday, May 26th (Memorial Day).
The Vietnam Wall will be there for our largeest event of the year, taking place the weekend before Memorial day, with our official Memorial Day ceremony taking place Sunday, May 25th, from 12:00PM - 2:00PM.
Memorial Day Ceremony @ Veterans Plaza
Every Memorial Day weekend, the Plaza hosts its largest event of the year, bringing in thousands of people from all over Northern Colorado. This event is free to the public and lasts all Memorial Day Weekend. However, the main ceremony takes place on May 25th at 12-Noon. Don't miss it! Event Includes:

Flag Day Display @ Veterans Plaza
On Flag Day, the Plaza will host the display of 30+ historic American flags, each flag different in design and forever bound to an important time in U.S. history. Come see how the American Flag you have come to know has evolved over the years. Alongside each flag is a small panel with more information about that flag, allowing guests to better understand its purpose in the time it flew. This display is an amazing learning opportunity and a fantastic way to celebrate our nation's flag!
The display will be up at Veterans Plaza from 9AM to 5PM on Flag Day, June 14, 2025.
Veterans Plaza @ Independence Day Parade
Come celebrate independence day with our Veteran's Plaza Parade Processon in Fort Collins. Every year, the Plaza joins the City of Fort Collins in their Independence Day parade, showing off vintage military equipment and handing out constitutions.

Annual Heroes Family Picnic @ Veterans Plaza
Veterans Plaza's Heroes Family Picnic is aimed at bringing the miltiary-conncected community together for a day of fun and celebration. Our amazing partners in the community, Freddy's and Scheels, do what they do best, ensuring everyone has food to eat and games to play at the Plaza.
This year, we will be hosting a corn hole tournament with prizes given to the winning team. We will have BBQ food for 300 people provided by Freddys, Pepsi, and Walmart.
No Reservation Necessary! Just show up and have fun!
Veterans Plaza Heroes Annual Golf Tournament
The scramble style golf tournament begins at 0730 and will be filled with plenty of fun and excitement including contests for beat the pro, closest to the pin and crazy putting. After the tournament concludes, players are invited for a complimentary awards lunch where you will experience a presentation of our Nations colors, and the National Anthem to honor our service members and can enjoy the awards ceremony, drawing for some amazing items and more. Photos are taken with Rosie the Riveter on the greens and at the awards ceremony.We had 144 players last year who had a wonderful experience at the spectacular Mariana Butte Golf Course in Loveland. Registration starts on April 1 with our early bird pricing! We look forward to seeing you on September 5!

ROTC Veterans Day Ceremony @ Veterans Plaza
Every year, an elegant and powerful ceremony, organized and performed by cadets of CSU's & UNC's Air Force ROTC Detachment 90 takes place on the Plaza grounds. Watch cadets perform the Flag Raising Ceremony and the Missing Man Table & Honors Ceremony before listening to a keynote speaker selected by the detachment.
