The Veterans Plaza will be honoring our Vietnam War Veterans

In Accordance with Public Law 110-181 SEC.598; the 2008 National Defense Authorization Act, the Veterans Plaza of Northern Colorado with the City of Fort Collins will be honoring our Vietnam War Veterans during its annual Memorial Day Weekend celebration in 2017.

Inclusive dates are May 24 – 29, with the official ceremony held on Sunday, May 28.

The event celebrates the service, and accomplishments of our Vietnam War era veterans, both living and deceased, and honors their sacrifices given for our country, its citizens, and each other.

The Traveling Vietnam Wall, Huey Gunship, VN Helicopter Museum, helicopter flyover, reading of the names of the fallen, Bob Hope USO Show, nightly services, and Sunday Ceremony will be the highlights. The Plaza will be open 24/7 for viewing.

Wednesday, May 24
3:00 PM (approx.) Wall arrives in Fort Collins with an escort of State Troopers, Police, Sheriff’s Department, assorted motorcycle associations which will meet up at I-25 and the Berthoud exit.

Sunday, May 28
7:00 AM Reading of the names begins and lasts until 10:00 PM, there will be a break noon – 1:00 PM
9:00 AM – 4:00 PM Veteran benefiting vendors have their booths set up.
All Day Reenactors. Vietnam museum. Huey gunship display
Noon – 1:00 PM Ceremony. Soils added to Victory Garden. Speakers. Huey flyover. Food trucks. 21 gun salute, piper, Taps, color/honor guard.
